Electrophysiologists：
We are currently looking for motivated electrophysiologists to develop and perform various ion channel assays on manual and automated electrophysiology platform(s). Major responsibilities:
″Design, perform, and troubleshoot various ion channel recordings on our automated and manual patch clamp platforms
″Data analysis and presentation, electronic archiving of results, preparation of written reports, and general laboratory activities
″Actively collaborate with fellow scientists for novel assay development and for technical trouble shooting
″Communicate effectively with external collaborating scientists within a multi-disciplinary team for data interpretation
″Keep up with new instruments and techniques for electrophysiology
Requirements:
″A MS or PhD degree in electrophysiology or a related field
″At least two years of extensive laboratory hands-on experience with various types of electrophysiology technique, including brain slice recording
″Ability to be independent in recording and troubleshooting in electrophysiology
″Ability to read/write SOP and to generate study reports in English, decent verbal communication skills in English preferred
″Sufficient computer skills for data analysis and presentation
″ Good skills in organizing, record keeping as well as multi-tasking, strong analytic and problem-solving skills
Junior Electrophysiologists
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide cell culture support for automated and manual electrophysiology experiments
- Conduct electrophysiology experiments on automated electrophysiology platforms.
- Develop and optimize various biochemical and cell-based assays
- Design experiments, interpret data and troubleshoot technical problems
- Write experiment reports
REQUIREMENTS:
- B.S. or M.S. in Biological Sciences, hands-on laboratory experiences in cell biology, biochemistry, and/or molecular biology. Hands on electrophysiology experience is a plus
- Computerized data handling
- English: Good written communication skills
- Multi-tasking and organizational skills
- Ability to work autonomously as well as with a group
