Director for NHP Disease Models：
Job Description: WuXi AppTec, the largest biopharmaceutical CRO company in China, is hiring Director to lead a group specializing in non-human primate (NHP) disease models in the area of metabolic diseases (eg, diabetes and arthrosclerosis). The Director has the overall responsibility for establishing and managing cohorts of NHP monkeys with naturally occurring disease conditions such as diabetes and dyslipidemia, and for working with academic/industrial clients to establish study protocols and carrying out research projects using the animals. The Director reports to the Head of Cardiovascular & Metabolic Diseases Business Franchise and is expected to provide expert's opinion and scientific leadership in the area of NHP disease models. He/she is expected to manage a team of at least 5-10 researchers including 1-2 PhD scientists.
Education: DVM, PhD, or Master's Degree with demonstrated scientific independence.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience working with non-human primates; research experience and publication record in the area of metabolic diseases such as obesity, diabetes and/or cardiovascular diseases; minimum of 3 years experience in managing people.
